40 years of Huey Lewis and the News signatures shirt. This may come as a surprise to some, and to others not at all. I am big fan of Huey Lewis. He and his band, The News are an amazing bunch of musicians that have been playing together for 40 some odd years. Among the tightest live bands on the planet. They are responsible for a lot of the early sound of Elvis Costello, and played on My Aim is True when they were still known as Clover. Fast forward to now, and the keyboardist Sean Hopper is a local resident here in our twin cities. He and his family are dear friends. I am wishing Huey the best, and hoping for a full recovery.

They’re part of the sound track of my childhood. I remember my dad playing cassettes. Amazing. Hoping for the best for him. My chiropractor in LA was John Ciambotti, Clover bassist- played on My Aim is True. Good man, told me many Elvis Stories. Was very fond of Huey. Long ago in the early 80’s I used to DJ at Duffy’s. Mostly punk shows and stuff but for some reason I got asked to do a Huey Lewis show one time. It was sponsored by KQ92 and Doug Podell one of their DJs was there to MC. He gave me a few dirty looks when I played stuff like Black Flag and the Dead Kennedys!

All of those guys in Clover are monster writers too. They all have hits with tons of other bands. These guys are exceptional players and writers. I am heart broken for Huey. His written some amazing material. I pray for a miracle for him!I saw Huey Lewis and the News in concert nine times in concert! Huey and I tapped knuckles at two concerts! I always felt like, “ i’ll never wash my hands again.” Huey Lewis played harmonica on Thin Lizzy’s live and dangerous. Always like that band and thought he was a hell of a front man. Hope you like that 40 years of Huey Lewis and the News signatures shirt. Get it!
