50 Years Of Queen Thank You For The Memories signature shirt, v-neck, classic tee
Hi friends! I entered this year’s DC Brau Pride Pils design contest — and would love it if you voted for my design! This design is about celebrating 50 years of incredible progress, while acknowledging the inequality that still exists and recognizing the need to address it. It’s inspired by Marsha P. Johnson, who was an African American, transgender sex worker, drag queen, LGBTQ activist and an important leader during the Stonewall riots. When people asked her about her gender, she would reply, “Pay it no mind.” She died mysteriously in 1992. Her case has never been solved, but her family and friends believe there may have been foul play involved. The 27 pansies represent the 26 transgender people who were killed by violence in 2018, and the one so far in 2019.

Can anyone actually believe she’s 50 years old? This woman is the queen of my life. My best mate and the best mum anyone could ask for. To all my female friends over 40 or 50 years of “age”… Most of us are going through the next stage of our lives. We are at that age where we see the wrinkles, grey hair, extra pounds. Menopause has already showed up or just waiting around the corner. We see the pretty 25-year olds and sigh. But, we were 25, too, just like they will one day be our age. What they bring to the table with their youth and zest for life, we bring with our wisdom, experience and good hearts.

For all we’ve been through earning each grey hair… raising kids, bills and ills and whatever else life throws at us, we are survivors… we are warriors… we are women. Like a classic car or fine wine. While our exterior may not be what it once was, it is traded for our spirit, our courage and our strength to enter this chapter of our lives with grace and pride for all we’ve been through and accomplished. Never feel bad about getting older. It is a privilege denied to many. So Blessed to be alive!! Ladies, I challenge you to copy and paste with your picture and age.

Happy 50th birthday
Queen’s “Killer Queen,” their first international hit, was released on this date 44 years ago. Photo of John Deacon, Freddie Mercury and Brian May by Ian Dickson/Redferns. I remember buying a copy of that single. It’s one of my favorite tracks by Queen. No, no, no. It can’t have been that long ago. I can’t be this old…. aren’t you aware? after the smile was disbanded, only two members remained, Brian May and Roger Taylor. then form a Queen with 4 members. 21 years after the band was formed, the main vocalist, Freddie Mercury died of AIDS. 6 years later, precisely in 1997, the bassist, John Deacon decided to retire due to feeling deep sadness because his friend, Freddie died.

Finally, again there were only 2 people left, the guitarist and drummer. Hopefully you are always healthy and given a long life. keep maintaining Queen. I love you Roger and Brian. Very epic and iconic! Pure talent… i was born in 70’s and when i was on my childhood days, i was fascinated and amaze by their talent…and now im introducing their songs to my kids..my 7 yr.old daughter loves to sing their songs… You ‘ve been a part of my childhood, teens and you still are . We love you guys ! 50 Years Of Queen Thank You For The Memories signature shirt now available. Hope you like this!
