The countdown to the Apollo 11 moon landing 50th anniversary continues, and we recognize Apollo 9 – the first flight of the full Apollo spacecraft with Command and Service Module and Lunar Module. While it did not leave low-Earth orbit, it proved the modules could separate, move apart and then rendezvous successfully, a vital benchmark for the Apollo program. Boy would I love to work for NASA, especially in communications on directly transferable technology and expert communications here on Earth… To think about how far and fast we came in less than 10 short years… And in the last two years.

The previous to this (Unmanned) Apollo rocket blew up. The moon landing of Apollo 11, at 400 feet and 1 minute of fuel remaining, was nearly aborted. There were 3 possible outcomes: 1.) That they would crash, 2.) That they would abort, 3.) That they would safely land. This is guts and glory, people!…That must be from through the right window of the LEM. They separated and fully tested it in Earth orbit on this flight. Also seeing if they could safely transfer from one craft to another in a spacewalk… Have you got Apollo 11, 50th Anniversary 1969-2019, Moon Landing signature shirt?

“As America prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, we want to give our fans a new taste experience that is out of this world,” said the doughnut maker’s Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena. 50 years have passed…so hard to believe. Most of us remember this so clearly it feels like just a few years ago…where did the time go! What an exciting day that was “one step for a man and one giant leap for mankind”!!! We’re less than two months away from celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing! To mark this historic moment, the U.S. Postal Service is issuing two “First Moon Landing” forever stamps — one featuring a photo of the Moon as seen from near #NASAMarshall.
