I wanted to watch it because I had seen memes before but then I actually got super interested in it and I absolutely love it.

It may surprise you to know that Angel & I plan to watch the Super Bowl this evening. I’ve never watched an entire football game, so that’s one more thing I can cross off my bucket list. Coincidentally, we both turn 50 this year, me & the Super Bowl. I take such things for a sign. In truth, Angel lured me in with magic words like “costumes” (uniforms), “synchronized choreography” (cheerleading) and “thematic color schemes” (team colors & logos), dropping names like Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Beyonce & Coldplay and making the net product sound more like a Broadway musical than a competitive sport.

He sealed the deal by showing an adorable commercial with weenie dogs and promising much more of the same. Yes, I committed to watch Super Bowl 50 before really thinking it through, but a promise is a promise. Love this Baby Jack Skellington and Pennywise shirt. So that’s our evening plans. It was too late to rent Astroturf and bleachers for the living room, but it wasn’t too late to get pompoms, a bullhorn, the appropriate orange & blue shirts & caps (for Sarge, too!) and the traditional not-so-heart-healthy Super Bowl snacks.
