My basset baby, my Oticus Maximus. 1 and a half. Its wierd, I have yet to deal with any of the issues others complain about. He smells Devine (puppy breath forever!) We dont even have to clean his ears and they stay nice. Best. Dog. Ever. I never will forget the time that my sister brought Boo to our house. Our dad was a true believer that a dog’s place was out side. Boo was huge. When he put his paws on the table to beg food my Dad said,”get that damn dog out of here!” Boo gone! Xxxx. My mom has sisters from the same litter they don’t stink, love to go for walks, great with the family, love attention, only big thing is leashes they follow there nose and disappear.

Unpopular opinion: supporting excellent breeders is better than only adopting pound puppies. Reason: YES strays, mutts, and pound dogs need love and make better dogs much of the time. However how many backyard breeders and irresponsible owners depend on shelters to deal with their mistakes? How many people are okay with their animals winding up in a shelter because some nice people will adopt it? Backyard breeding and NOT FIXING YOUR DOG are the cause of overpopulated shelters. But as result of that, reputable breeders must work hard and spend a lot of money to stay afloat. Hope you love that Basset Hound BHvengers Marvel Avengers Endgame shirt.

Imagine a world with spay/neuter laws that required heavy paperwork/red tape to be a breeder. Imagine the same world with empty shelters. Now owning a dog would be initially expensive, and not a spur-of-the-moment thing. Now the breeder could actually make money off of the dog. And now mutts and wierd mixes would be more special than before. I want a world with loved animals. Check out this Basset Hound BHvengers Marvel Avengers Endgame shirt. And responsible humans that ensure their proper welfare. I want a world where owning a pet is a privilege and a great undertaking. Alright I lit the flame. Let’s watch it burn…

WE had a beautiful Bassett girl, Abby, and she did NOT stink! But people need to know they can injure their backs easily, so be careful. They can jump high, and Abby ran like the wind! She caught a squirrel out of a low tree branch (6′) and grabbed food off of the counter~ she was a loving sweetheart! No matter what age, they will always be the oldest looking dog ever. The type that get their sweetest jollies just by getting to lay their fat bellies and droopy ears on the porch every morning for the soft, gentle embrace of the morning sun to kiss their wee bodies and give them the loving hug of life. I still remember the puppy that Chris had. It was so sweet. He brought it over and it walked very slowly around our pool looking at it like he wasn’t quite sure what it was. Funny!
