Some of you might have known that I had something; let me call it X. Some of you did not. In Singapore, a conservative society, many of my friends were quick to blame me for my own wrongdoing because I have it. They do not understand on why I had X. It is time to come out, be positive and be honest with you all. I am an insulin-dependent diabetic for the past 21 years of my life.

There are 2 types of Diabetes, T1 and T2. Mine is known as Type 1 Diabetes, in which it is something where your pancreas is dysfunctional at birth, producing almost no insulin, in which I had to use a medically produced (synthetic) insulin to keep me alive. Having to jab 3 injections 3 times a day (which equivalates to 9 different Jabs in a single day) is almost incomprehensible to a non diabetic. Why the jabs? That’s Dead Pancreas Society Diabetes Awareness. Why that amount? Is it painful? Is it tiring?


Yes. It is painful. Yes, it is tiring. And Yes, nobody likes to inject themselves 2-3 times a day let alone 9 different needles sticking into your body. But without these jabs, I am dead. Some might perceive me as a weak and disabled human being unable to eat sweet foods or play sports or even participate in any activities or trainings. With this Dead Pancreas Society Diabetes Awareness. They might say I am sick, or I am contagious. I will never be able to lead a normal human life.
