Hey dog mom’s! I want to get a tattoo to show how important animals (specifically dogs) are to my life. What all do you guys have? Show me the dog tattoos! Or wear Dog mom with tattoos pretty eyes thick and thighs shirt. I have the most AMAZING tattoo artist!! I got the bottom part if my sleeve done!! I’m in absolute love!! I love how I can say I want a cool dog paw and my gap filled and she whips it out lol if you need an amazing ARTIST you need to go see my girl bri at other mother tattoo!!! Pet portrait I did of our dog, Sophie. This is meant to be a tattoo design for my mom in the future. I’ll probably be making another one that’s similar to this for myself as well. This was fun to figure out how to do slight realism while still holding true to my style.

People often ask me, especially at work, why I wear a wedding ring (or two). I usually joke and say it’s so that sleazy men don’t hit on me while I’m serving them. Truthfully though, they’re my parents. My dad works with machinery and isn’t allowed to wear his, so a few years ago my parents got them tattooed on in replace of the rings they once wore. When I turned 18, my mom gifted them to me to keep as a family heirloom. Rather than storing them away, I chose to wear them as a daily reminder of their love for not only myself, but for eachother. I love these rings, but they’re not permanent. My parents are some of the best. They’re pure hearted, hard working, easygoing, understanding, the list goes on. Most importantly though, they teach me how to love.

It’s not a loud love, we don’t really hug in this family. It’s a love through quiet gestures, through thoughtfulness and respect, through “hey I got you this at the store because I knee you needed it”, or “we let your dog in and fed him since you were working late”. The date that embodies the entity of such a pure love was their wedding day. As a symbol of the love that they will always share, and always provide me with, I had their wedding date tattooed on my wrist. When people ask what it means, they typically give me a strange look when I tell them. And it may be strange to others, that’s fine. Tattoos are personal. And to me, it is a permanent reminder of what marriage should look like, and what love should feel like. I may be young and clueless about so many things, but the feeling of love I’ve felt perfectly, and I will continue to each and every day thanks to them.
