Have you ever heard the saying, “what other people think of me is none of my business?” Or how about “In order to insult me I must first value your opinion. Nice try though!” Of course oftentimes it’s easier said than done. I think everyone on the planet suffers from low self-esteem from time to time. And the reason I say that is because as a hypnotist, in addition to having a clinical office for 20 years, I also did hundreds of entertainment shows. In order to entice people to participate I would promise them suggestions at the end of the show for decrease stress and increased self-esteem. In all the hundreds of shows I did, I never heard anyone say “oh no, don’t give me any more self-esteem I’ve got way too much already.”

Of course not, we can all use a little boost from time to time. Our self esteem is directly connected to our emotions. If you were tired, stressed, or sad, it will be lower. If you just got a promotion or raise, or any other positive things then it will be higher. How you see yourself is more important than how other people see you. How do you see yourself?
