One day about 15 years ago I am walking out of the job and I hear someone yell “Hey Vince you getting ready to go home and be a good husband”? I turned and looked back and it was a bunch of my co workers standing around talking. Drink Like a Patriot Abe Lincoln George Washington. After work they would go across the street to a Pool Hall and play and smoke Cigars, and have a drink to get rid of the stress from the job. I walked back over to the one I knew that called me out in front of everyone and said something to the extent of “are you about to go over to the pool hall and waste time and money”? From there we both pulled back and chopped it for a few minutes. Again they invited me, I declined, told them I had biz I need to take care of. I went home and they went over to the pool hall. As awkward as that exchange was it started a friendship. We even got close enough where I took him on a Mountian Bike ride. Cyclist tend to be very selective about who they allow to join them on Bike rides. We get to one trail and I tell him “I normally go up that trail, but I will not go up there today because I have you with me”. Why did I say that?

He starts telling me how he was BEAST in college football, how he could pound that rock straight up the middle, and he is sure he can handle that trial. So off we went up the trail. That was one of the funniest Mountian Bike rides ever. I won’t tell the full story and snitch on him.. I know he is going to read this. It turned out we where both fans of the same football team. I remember a couple weeks ago when his Son and the Rams has to take on his life long favorite team to continue their advancement to the Super Bowl.
