Young Son (my dog) and I have shared this song, “They Love Each Other,” – Grateful Dead for a while now. My favorite part is Jerry harking, “He could pass his time around some other line but you know he chose his place beside her. They love each other. Lord, you can seeeeee that it’s true.” And, “Lord you know they made a fine connection.” I love my dog, guys. So much. And that’s Grateful Dead Song Lyrics Poster – They Love Each Other. Have you got it?

Today WOLVES is available everywhere. It’s a bit bittersweet. I am very close to this material and I have lived with it for so long and so many newer songs have been started since these were finished, it almost doesn’t seem momentous to release it. More like pulling off a sheet to an old car you have been painstakingly detailing for years. In this case 5 years. How great is it that I am in a profession where I get to manipulate, create experiences within and encapsulate time forever? Whatever “forever” is. I know for some this recorded work will come and go as just another release in a seemingly endless sea of releases in a massive digital spectrum of noise.
But I hope those that set aside the time to listen to it in it’s entirety will see that I had something to say here with this collection of songs. That they feel the heartbreak and then the glorious mending that is such an important part of the human condition. This album was almost left for dead because my personal life was turned upside down but I realized it was important to keep painting because it knew what it wanted to be. The WOLVES are personal. And this is a personal album. But if I did something right you’ll find a few WOLVES in your life that need addressing. And if I’ve led you to that, then I’ve done something much more wonderful than handed you some songs you can sing along to. Thank you ALL for giving me a canvas to paint on. I will never take that for granted.
