You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child. ~ Dr Seuss. Do you have a nighttime routine with your kiddo? We pick a book every night to read before bed. We spend so much time plugged in: tv, tablets, phones, whatever, that taking the time to read and talk (he calls them “his questions”) before bedtime helps him fall asleep easier and we’ve had less sneaking out of bed. Although, if you’ve seen my other posts, sometimes he tip-toes into my workout time anyway. Its a process. We’re currently a fan of ‘Good Night Darth Vader,’ ‘The Monster at the End of the Book,’ and ‘Go Dog Go’ What are some of your favorite bedtime stories to read with your littles?
Love reading Dr. Seuss’s book
When reading before sleeping is a habit. Would you believe this is my bribe to get my kids to go to bed?! Praise God that they love to read and to be read to. My kids love to read, Strega Nona, Swimmy, Inch by Inch all books by Berenstain Bears, DR. Seuss and I can go on and on. What are yours and your kids favorite bedtime stories? My daughter wants me to show you her collection. She loves reading and loves your books Who am I to resist … She hopes to someday meet the stars of her book.
Oh the places you’ll go! I love that book. Dr. Seuss was a genius! It is so true. You can do anything and be anything you want in life. So go out there and do it! Don’t wait for things to happen, you have to make them happen. I think people now a days don’t realize that to achieve the things you want you have to work hard. But if it’s something you really love and can get behind the work doesn’t always feel so hard. I LOOVED his books as a kid! My go to one growing up one ‘one foot two foot’. My parents and I and that book memorized front to back. I still to this day remember the first 3 pages. Happy birthday Dr.Seuss.
