Yesterday, I posted a video of a lady who was undergoing chemotherapy as a treatment for breast cancer. Watching her about to get her head shaved, it brought back the memory of when I got mine shaved… the emotion came just as fresh as it did almost nine years ago. The emotion of losing your outward symbols of womanhood is overwhelming and if you have not walked in someone’s shoes you may not ever understand how hard this is for cancer patients to endure.

This woman’s positive attitude made me think how God is so good to us. When her daughter started to cut here hair she started to sing “This the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!” She is telling us that we must give God thanks in ALL things! How powerful to praise God in the midst of emotional pain! This week marks the ninth year of me being diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. This type of cancer is known to be deadly. Just a mere three years before I was diagnosed, there was no treatment for this type of cancer.

As I look back and continue to thank God, I realized God held the cancer from my body until there was a treatment.People, I have so much to thank Him for! I pleaded for my life everyday that I could raise my children and gave me favor. I Offended You What Does It Feel Like To Be So Weak That Mere Words Hurt You – Vegeta shirt. My children are now adults and making new strides in their lives but there is more God has for me to do and in the fullness of time it will be revealed. One thing I think would be helpful for any woman who is going through this is for her to receive proper counseling along with her family.

When cancer patients have a mastectomy and other surgical procedures and treatment, the woman is left to deal with her emotions on her own. The family may try to be as supportive as they can but through lack of knowledge they just do not understand. I encourage all husbands and children to be your wife/mother’s strength while she is weak… she needs you now and for years to come. It is not easy. Lastly, please go and have your mammograms done. The life you save may be your own. I love you and thank you for your love and encouraging words over my nine year journey.
