That’s I wanted to serve volunteered to serve knew what i was doing and I’d do it again navy veteran shirt. I volunteered to serve, but I am not a veteran. My Navy recruiter told me that when I died I was to come back and haunt the air force doctor who told me I’d flunked my physical and was now officially 4F, but sadly, I never got the Dr’s name. Also, there was the fact he was at least 20 years older than me, so his chances of outliving me were marginal. So, to all you veterans out there, thanks for your service – especially my brother Andrew Bowman. I was almost one of you!

I thanked a Navy Sailor for his service in the elevator of the hotel this morning. He said thank you that a lot of people serve. I told him my daughter has signed up to serve in the Marines and a little joke. I wanted to serve volunteered to serve knew what i was doing and I’d do it again navy veteran shirt. He smiled as I got off the elevator and I could here him chuckling as the door closed. It is going to be hard being the granddaughter of a WWII Navy Veteran who volunteered to serve during the draft to not picking on MacKayla’s branch. But I will be a proud Marine Mom.

Thirty years ago today I joined the United States Navy. Normally milestones such as these pass by silently in my head. I knew the anniversary was coming up, then later became distracted by something else and kind of just forgot about it for the past week. I figured that I should and would break from the norm and make some kind of an attempt to share these thoughts outside of my own head. So here goes: Upfront I will state that it is nearly impossible to explain or describe what it has been like and how it feels to have lived a life such as this. Firstly, my three decades of service have been nothing short of a wild, crazy, nearly insane and very much unpredictable rocket ride.
