6 years ago I would stand in this building on a line proud yet a little sad and uncomfortable. Proud to have the courage to get onto food stamps but sad Bec I knew I deserved more. I will never go back into that building. I chose a diff path that has afforded me an incredible income … yes but most important time and choice freedom. If you are reading this today and are working a 9-5 or have a business that is sucking the living daylights out of you or you make a lot of money but have no time To enjoy it … and know there is more out there for you … there is. If you want to take a look at what I do it would be my honor to share.
When we see companies using licenced images, we only see part of the story – the tip of the iceberg if you like. When a Disney or Marvel or Harry Potter or Star Wars character is used on bedding, clothing, a cake topper etc, you don’t see any conversations that have happened out of the public eye and certainly are not a party to any licence terms or remuneration. My husband is a songwriter that has had songs used in a number of movies, TV shows and commercials. We will often get tagged or PMed on social media, emailed or called when people have witnessed a song being used. In every case so far it has been a legitimate licence, with sometimes quite a large remuneration.
