I want to say something to the kids out there: Bullying is a BIG deal. It is NEVER acceptable and you may be causing a lot of damage to another person. If you don’t want to be friends with someone, then you don’t have to… but there is NO NEED to gang up on that person, tease or insult them. The consequences of hate can be devastating. Linemen because quarterbacks need heroes too shirt. You can be a HERO to someone who is being bullied, just by being their friend. Parents: Have a SERIOUS talk with your kids! Whether you think they are involved in bullying or not, they DO see it! Encourage your child to be a kind person and reach out to a kid who needs a friend!

Too many parents condone what kids do to others and think it is funny. Nothing funny about bullying. My kids are grown and none of them ever bullied anyone as a matter of fact my youngest son would take up for those who were bullied. My grandkids have been taught not to follow those who make fun of others. I tell them they aren’t your friends. Kids have a hard enough road to walk without being bullied. Hope a lot of people read this and stop and think about it. Remember bullying just isn’t between kids it happens with teachers and adults also. they can bully as well.

I work in a school and we just went through a bullying seminar. If more people are educated, hopefully we can all learn the signs of someone who is being bullied. Kids need to know that there are people they can turn to for help. Thank you for your post! Wow! Your are such an amazing inspiration to our young people. My daughter suffered for 6 weeks in her last year of middle schoool, being tortured by her 2 former best friends. Other children were afaid to speak up for her because they were intimidated. No support from the school, left me to bolster the child’s seld esteem . Fortunately I had taught her about how to treat people properly and she was able to turn the other cheek . Bullying is unacceptable on any level and should be dealt with immediately. My daughter has had it done to her. Bullying is a learned behavior not something they just do. My girl is strong and you will not win ever she has a postive soul and will talk thru it and then go thru you to her goals just like Ray and the endzone.
