Dear nursing mama: while breastfeeding advice may sometimes be of ppls best interest, it isn’t always correct. Please consult a professional BEFORE following any advice. Knowing me, you know nursing is my love. I’ve always been in positions where I’ve had to render care, give advice, or simply just show compassion. When God placed it on my heart to start my business, to be honest, I was reluctant. But what I’ve learned on my life journey, is to always pray before you move. So I prayed and I asked God to guide me and place the right people on my path—and He’s done just that! Nurse Will give nursing advice for tacos and margaritas shirt now available. Get it!

Posting about Danny’s journey has always been therapeutic for me. A way to process. A way to show the reality of cancer without focusing on the negative. And a way for me to share his smile and laugh with others. So they know. With D’s last MRI and lumbar puncture, our world got tilted, and I had a hard time mentally and emotionally wrapping my head around things. I ugly-cried. A ton. Really wise friends told me that was ok. And, even wiser friends gave me advice for an anti-puffy eye cream.
D is 3 weeks into his new regimen – alternating 5 days/wk of chemo with 1 day/wk of immunotherapy. Today, I am thankful. Thankful for each today and each tomorrow. Thankful for amazing family and good friends (especially ones who’re working on the bridge at Children’s and painted D’s name there to greet us each day). And thankful for the Nurses who wrap D up like a Baby Burrito because it makes him giggle and thankful for the special Nurse who made him his own taco quilt (as she explained, there was a shortage of burrito fabric.

As I continue to raise funds for the Jimmy Fund and walk the 26.2 mile journey again in September, I will keep Danny in my thoughts. My wish for him is that his days are filled with love and peace and his strength continues to grow. You don’t need anyone to tell you how amazing he is, but he has displayed grace and gratitude for life in a way that makes me personally stop in my tracks and realize how blessed so many of us are. PS: They actually do have burrito blankets because my friend just posted it last night! Hope you like this Nurse Will give nursing advice for tacos and margaritas shirt.
