Sloth hiking team we will get there when we get there shirt. Ok, since the Sloth Hiking Team is such a big hit, I couldn’t leave my fast family hanging out there. These are fantastic! I belong to the sloths, and my husband belongs to the roadrunners. Hiking with me can be a bit trying for him at times. Lol I wonder what animal logo would go good with “Hike your own Hike”? I’m originally from the White Mountain area and we had tons of peak baggers – let’s see how fast I can get up the mountain today. Never understood or enjoyed it. Sure it’s a great workout, but I’m there to enjoy the outdoors and relax.

Nolan is doing great and he finally got to enjoy his first family hike! He loves being outside! He laughed, talked, and continually smiled on the whole hike (until he fell asleep). We are loving this “normal” life. A year ago these are the times I dreamed about. Because Sloth hiking team we will get there when we get there shirt. In May Nolan will reach his one year post transplant milestone!! So in April he will have several tests done and lab work just to keep an eye on things and make sure everything is going great! It makes me a little nervous but I’m glad they will continue to monitor.

The doctors are very pleased with how well he is doing! There are many days I am just overwhelmed and amazed at how well he is doing developmentally after everything he has been through. I am forever thankful to God, Nolan’s amazing medical team, our family/friends, and all of you who have supported us on this journey!! Our God is an awesome God! He reigns on Heaven and earth with wisdom power and love our God is an awesome God!!! It’s amazing to think of how sick this precious boy was when you see him now! I’m so happy to see you guys enjoying life to the fullest! Beautiful pictures and thank you for the updates!!

I’ve always loved being active. From playing team sports, hiking, snowboarding, running, boxing, working out…I love it all. You’d think someone as active as I’ve always been would stay healthy “easily”, but that’s just not the case. It takes work. I’ve learned that the things we really want in this life do take work. There is no easy or quick fix. There is no expectation of perfect either. My lifestyle changed a bit this past year, and I battled some health issues (Hashimotos + vestibular dysfunction + reactive hypoglycemia=not fun… thankful for answers though), and I did gain a bit of the 40lbs that I lost back. Even with that, I’m still a million times better off than I was before I started focusing on my health. Strength, mental health gains, and feeling better in my skin. So worth it.
