I’m sure your first impression is the same as mine: The phrase is both ominous AND ambiguous. As for the former, nobody likes to be controlled. Just ask Angel. And as for the latter, who or what exactly is being controlled — animals, or me and my right to have one? First, the bad news: It turns out it’s a little of both. I’m not arguing I’m just explaining why I’m right. And now the good news: I still have my dogs. In fact, the city has never threatened — much less attempted — to take away Spike, Daisy or even that little rascal Sarge.
I’m not ambitious enough to hammer out each and every provision, but I don’t think you need ALL the details to form your own opinion. (Why start now? HaHa) Suffice it to say the animal control ordinances have more rules and prohibitions than Exodus & Leviticus combined. Like a Snoopy and Woodstock t-shirt. Such is the hallmark of a police state. I believe my point will be taken by sharing the first three CONTROLS that come to mind. I’m already preaching to the choir, so there’s no point beating a dead horse, right?
