To everyone who’s just tuned into our story or has been following it and is curious of how this all started. On January 22nd, 2019 our lives changed forever. After being told countless times our 4 month old son was Colic and had a viral infection we went and saw his ENT, Dr. Lisa Buckmiller, who sent us straight to the ER. Within an hour we learn our sweet little boy actually had Pneumonia and Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Dalton quickly went down hill. Kidney Failure, Respiratory Failure, a collapsed lung, septic shock, enlarged liver, enlarged spleen and tumor lysis syndrome lead dalton to Dialysis, an Oscillator, ECMO (life support), and 4 rounds of Chemo. Our brave baby smile through it all.

With the amazing work from Santa Rosa’s Doctors and Nurses, plus a MIRACLE, our baby was cancer free! On May 13th, 2019, we got transferred to Methodist Children’s for a Bone Marrow Transplant. Baby Dalton went through even more Chemo, this time it was even worse. May 23rd Dalton FINALLY had his transplant. Days after Dalton quit smiling. Love that nurses smile back shirt. He started suffering from mucositis. It lined his throat all the way to his GI tract. On May 30th our baby was put on a ventilator, then on an Oscillator, then got a PD drain and before we knew it we were back on kidney dialysis. Dalton had the top transplant complications. TMA, VOD, HHV-6A, IPS, and Parainfluenza.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dalton and with the family for what you all have gone thru during this difficult time. We know that God has a plan for Dalton and we have to let God take Dalton in his arms and heal him. Will daily pray for Dalton and for his family. Praying for this little man. He is a trooper for sure. God please in your mercy heal Dalton and let him come home with mom and dad. Amen Sugar skull death smiles at everyone nurses smile back shirt. Your an awesome God and your will be done. Stay strong little guy, God bless. Prayers are continuing for baby Dalton and his family. Jesus is the great and ultimate healer. Dalton is in His hands.
