Hope everyone has enjoyed their holiday over the weekend. This year became my 2nd holiday season without my grandma present, but I’ve made the best of it. It is what it is. Having said that, 2017 is officially coming to a close ending in less than a week. That’s Sunflower in a world full of grandmas be a nana shirt. This year, as with any previous year, has its pros and cons. Whether it’s for the better or the worse, I’ve learned to embrace the bittersweetness this year had to offer, without going into too much detail. This 2017 video represents unity within myself and the music scene.

Without any of these events, bands and people who I’ve met and kept in contact with along the journey, we wouldn’t be here and this post wouldn’t have been relevant. In a world full of grandmas be a nana.Thank you to everyone for being a part of the continuum this year. It’s also been an honor to have some bucket list bands completed this year as well. Shout out specifically to all the people (you know who you are) who have saved my life over the summer when I was having that “breaking point”. See you all in the new year!

It’s been almost 14 years since my grandma Wyla passed away she passed away October 6th 2004 I don’t remember much about her I remember her stubbornness I remember her favorite chair I remember her favorite shoes I remember her pushing me in her wheelchair when we’d go on walks to the mailbox​ and I remember the songs she’d sing to me and searraha and I remember watching Matlock or Walker or murder she wrote in the morning, I remember the ticking noise that would come from her heart thing when I’d lay my head on her chest I miss her bunches if it wasn’t for her my mom nor my aunt’s would be here and if it wasn’t for my nana my mom wouldn’t be as wonderful as she is. Love you Nana
