In April or May of ‘87 a buddy of mine hopped into my car holding a cassette tape and grinning. He proceeded to tell me about a new band called Tesla that this other dude had turned him onto and I had to hear them for myself. My world changed that day. Mechanical Resonance played on a virtually continuous loop from then on. Parties, road trips, or just cruising around town. We ended up buying three copies that summer alone because we wore out two cassettes.
Nearly 32 yrs later, Tesla is still rocking my world. The music has been there when I married my bride and while we raised three wonderful children who all love Tesla as well. It’s also always been there to see me through life’s challenges. The band and its music has been a part of my life nearly every day during those 32 years. I’m blessed that my favorite band is still making new music and touring. Not many music fans from my generation can say that. I love this band with every fiber of my being and am proud to call myself a ‘Freak’.
