Why else would developers donate to incumbent New Castle County politicians but to buy influence? (See the comments section for the link to the News Journal article) If you want actual land preservation to happen in Delaware and you care about saving Beaver Valley, the current gang needs to go. To take two recent examples of what a developer friendly group this is, Council voted to rezone Cavaliers Country Club last month to give the Carlino Development group 700+ houses on 145 acres which was zoned for 200 houses!

Closer to Beaver Valley, Council is also supporting the massive rezoning of Brandywine Country Club that would permanently change the character of North Wilmington and add massive new traffic volume to area roads. Our quality of life and open space can’t save themselves. But there’s no place i’d rather be than beaver valley. We need elected officials to do that, but unfortunately, the current crop of politicians in New Castle County has been working against this common sense goal for a long, long time. Do the county a solid and vote for a challenger in the primaries on September 6th.
Brandywine Country Club has been the nail in the coffin for me with N. Wilmington. Nobody has wanted to listen. I grew up adjacent to the country club, and my parents still live there today. I have finally said to them that they should perhaps think about moving. It is going to hurt the values of the homes nearby, and the traffic situation will become a nightmare. It hurts to know that the place I grew up in has been changed so quickly for the worse. The only folks that seem to be happy are the developers- all at the expense of the area residents. I’m tired of getting screwed by politicians, DELDOT, developers, etc.
