When people tell me you never had it hard, I laugh because Lord knows if it wasn’t for this women my sister and I would’ve ended up in the system. I remember my mom being embarrassed we were on welfare she gave me the food stamps and had me go to the store as she looked on I remember her crying, when I came back she hugged me hard and said to me I’m so proud of you, you’re my big boy. I felt good that I came home with bread and milk. Life as a shorty shouldn’t be so rough, but it taught me a lesson, life is hard but it has great rewards when you’re unashamed.

Some days are so much harder then others. Some days I feel silly being so emotional because your expected to be done grieving at a certain point. I’m cranky at people i shouldn’t be cranky at but I’ve never been good at expressing my feelings. But as life goes on I just think of my child good more and more and how lucky I was to have my grandparents for so long. Tsin I’m sorry I’ve only gone to visit you once but I’m just not ready to accept it yet. Today was a hard day…the days are going by so quickly and I’m just not ready for your headstone. I was so embarrassed when you would call me blackeyboo or shorty but now id give anything to hear you one last time.
