I may have now just seen the greatest thing ever the Yankees the greatest franchise in baseball history paired with Game Of Thrones the best show in tv history the Yankees are having a Game Of Thrones night and fans will be given this Yankees Game Of Thrones shirt Bro. How awesome is that? I couldn’t make it to the Yankees game of Thrones but here I am at Edem I Harrah’s Resorts. “Game of Thrones Night” last night at “the Trop”. First place Rays bowed to the “Damn Yankees”, 4-3. Gave up two runs in first inning to the Yanks and stranded 3 Rays in the 8th, top of the order, with no outs, a pop fly and double play stopped that potential to tie or go ahead. Otherwise, a good game to watch while the weather outside was very noisy and with heavy rain.

When down by one run with the bases loaded, no outs, and failing to score is a huge problem. A base hit was not necessary. A sac fly was not necessary. A simple ground ball would have tied the game even if it led to a double play, which the Yankees were conceding. If I were Cash I would make sure my team, the ENTIRE team other than pitchers, spent as much time practicing bunting as they do anything else. I would lead MLB in bunting. Many of our hitters face a big shift, leaving third base basically totally uncovered. Easy pickings for even a slow player who can bunt. IMHO managers don’t do this because of players’ egos. They all want to be the big hitter star. A great bunter could easily raise his batting average by 10 to 15 points.

Exactly my thoughts. Lay the bunt between 1st and home, man on third is halfway home on a hit and run play, tie game. Batter is out at 1st, but runners advanced to second and third , reducing the threat of a double play on the “next at bat” and increasing the opportunity score. Yankees would have answered with an intentional walk on “next at bat” and rolled the dice on a double play with bases loaded and “1 away”. Always love that Yankees Game Of Thrones shirt. That would be exciting to watch. We went to Astros Rangers on Thursday night. With roof closed it was still raining in the stadium. Have you seen video clips from that game? It was crazy weather. Go Yankees!
